Do you take on small jobs, or only big projects?
Small projects are the focus — one job at a time, sized to fit your garden and your budget.
What services do you offer?
Paving, retaining walls, timber decks, irrigation, garden lighting, garden features, stonework, custom fire pits, small earthworks, and garden design.
Do you do commercial jobs, or residential only?
Residential only.
Quotes, pricing & process
Do you provide free quotes?
Yes — a free, written, no-obligation quote, usually about 15 minutes on site to measure up.
What's the difference between the Free Quote, the Project Consultation and the Design Consultation?
The Free Quote is for when you already know what you'd like done. The $220 Project Consultation (1 hour) is for getting a fixed picture of what a rough idea will cost before committing — no plans, and the $220 is refunded if you go ahead with construction. The $495 Design Consultation (1.5 hours) goes further into ideas, materials, planting and design choices, and finishes with a concept sketch plan — full design plans beyond that are the separate Garden Design service, priced on application.
How much does a typical job cost?
It depends on site access, soil conditions, and material choice, so every job is priced individually rather than off a fixed rate card. A free quote is the fastest way to get a real number for your project.
How long does a typical project take once it starts?
Anywhere from a few days to 2–3 weeks, depending on the job — a small paving or lighting job is at the fast end, a bigger retaining wall or multi-service job at the slower end.
Do you handle the council approval process?
Retaining walls over 1 metre and some pergolas or gazebos need council development approval in South Australia. Whether we handle that paperwork or you do depends on the job — we'll tell you upfront what's needed and work out who's doing what before construction starts.
Will I meet you personally, or a crew?
Martyn personally, with a small handpicked team.
Do you handle design and construction together, or just one?
Both — Garden Design is also available on its own if you just want planting advice without construction.

Yes — full statutory warranties apply to all work.
Scheduling
How far ahead should I book?
We generally allow 2-3 months' lead time for larger jobs. Smaller jobs can normally be fit into our schedule reasonably quickly.
What days do you work?
We work on-site Monday to Friday. Quotes can be organised Monday to Saturday.
